Wayne W. Teetrick

Wayne W. Teetrick, 89, formerly of Galion passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Continuing Healthcare of Milan where he had been a resident for the past year.

He was born September 26, 1928 in Galion and was the son of Calvin Charles and Gladys Elnora (Young) Teetrick.

Wayne attended Galion School and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a machinist for PECO in Galion. Wayne left PECO to help his parents build and operate a summer resort in Traverse City, Michigan. He loved helping his parents operate the resort and traveling with them to Florida in the winter.

He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church and a life member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4329 and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 303 all of Galion. Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, crocheting and making his own wine.

He is survived by four nieces, four nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother Merle (Violet) Teetrick and a sister Donalene (George) Ehrman.

The family will have a private graveside service in Crawford County Memory Gardens, Crestline at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association in care of the funeral home.
