Wanda L. Wirick

Wanda L. Wirick, 75, of Lohr Road in Mansfield, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Mill Creek Nursing Center in Galion.
Born Oct. 17, 1934 in Galion, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Ruth Busler Ireland. She married Marvin L. Wirick in 1961 and he survives.
Wanda was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints in Galion, where she loved going. Genealogy and tracing her family history was one of her favorite things to do.
Due to her health, Wanda retired in 1989 from the former Mansfield General Hospital where she worked in Housekeeping for 10 years. Previously, she worked in various nursing homes and also at ITT-North Electric in Galion.
In addition to her husband, of almost 50 years, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Thomas Miller of Galion; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Andrew and Sherry Wirick of Mt. Gilead, Bruce and Judy Wirick of Galion, Bradley Wirick of Galion and Craig and Denise Wirick of Mt. Gilead; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Nick and Bernice Ireland of Crestline and David and Flora Ireland of Missouri.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Russell Ireland and one sister, Margaret Sipes.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2010 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 with Bishop John Goodwin officiating. Burial will follow in Shauck Cemetery in Johnsville.
