Wanda K. Davidson, age 65, of Mount Vernon, OH, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on May 11, 1951 in Mount Vernon, OH, to the late Royal and Mary (Burrell) Scoles.

Wanda will always be remembered by her smile, and her friends and family say she could light up any room.  She was a member of the AmVets and enjoyed her many friends she made there.  Wanda enjoyed crossword puzzles, NASCAR, and Ohio State University Football.  Most of all she loved being around her grandkids and family.

She is survived by her sons, Roger (Lisa) Clayborne and Eric (Megan) Davidson; a daughter, Shonnie (Lincoln) Fath; grandchildren, Ashlee (Billy) Kent, Carson Fath, Morgan (Justin) Wells, Ashley Bryant, Kayla Spellman, Brandon Clayborne, and Trent Davidson; 7 great-grandchildren; a brother, Earl Scoles and a sister, Nola Veatch; several nieces and nephews.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard A. Davidson,

Friends may call on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 4-7pm at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home; 201 Newark Rd. Mount Vernon, OH, 43050, with a celebration of life service on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 11:00 am, burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.

  • Granny was such a happy lady, always laughing and having a good time. I always enjoyed sitting outside with her talking and laughing. Such a sweet lady that has touched so many hearts. She will be forever missed by so many. My deepest sympathy goes to her family and friends that’s hurting. My God be with them all and help ease their hurting hearts during this hard time.   • To a sweetheart that treated me with so much love, you were always like a mom to me when your beautiful daughter and I were in school together. I will forever remember all the fun times I had with you and Shonnie. The times you would take us rollerskateing. (I was always the latest one off the floor and you would yell “come on Toby) I just wanted to say that God has a precious Angel with him. Until I see you again, I want you to know you are greatly missed and loved so much.
