Virginia L. “Ginny” HANNEN, age 58 of Delaware died Monday evening, January 14, 2002 at Grady Memorial Hospital, Delaware following a courageous one year battle against Leukemia.

She was born on Feb. 2, 1943 in Braddock, PA to the late George C. Snyder and Helen Ducar Snyder of Monroeville, PA. Ginny moved to Delaware in 1978 from the Canton area. She had worked as a mail clerk for CIGNA Insurance Company.

She volunteered for PIN, People In Need, enjoyed stamps and traveling. She was a blood donor and was a recipient donated blood during her 1 year illness with leukemia.

Preceded in death by her husband of 29 years: Robert Hannen on Dec. 25, 1991 and her father: George C. Snyder.

Survived by Daughter: Deborah Hannen of Delaware, Sons: Robert John Hannen of Worthington, Thomas James Hannen of Loveland, OH, 6 Grandchildren, Mother: Helen Ducar Snyder of Monroeville, Sister: Lynn Miller of North Huntingdon, PA, Brother: George Snyder of North Versailles, PA.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 12:00 Noon in the chapel of Fort Steuben Burial Estates, 801 Canton Rd. (from SR 43) Wintersville, Ohio, Pastor David Masimi officiating.

Calling hours will not be observed, arrangements in care of DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Delaware.
