Virginia “Ginny” L. Trotter, 75, of Delaware, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, August 13, 2002 at Grady Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Chauncey, Ohio on October 27, 1926 to the late Luther and Lotche Helmick. Graduate of Central High School class of 1944. She was a homemaker, school bus driver for Hickory Knoll School, Delaware and had worked at various other jobs. Music was her life. Former choir director for Hyatts United Methodist Church, McKendree United Methodist Church, and Maize Manor United Methodist Church, Columbus.

Charter member the Ohio Heartland Chapter of Sweet Adelines International, member of Hyatts United Methodist Church, and the Crystal Light Quartet. She enjoyed tap dancing, had been a dance instructor at John Murphy Dance Studios. She had performed at the Buckeye Lake Crystal Ballroom and was very active with the Grandparents Living Theater, Delaware.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years: Phil Trotter Sr. whom she married April 26, 1946, Sons: Phil Trotter Jr. of Indianapolis, IN, Mark (Kathy) Trotter of Delaware; 4 Grandchildren: Kathleen, Sarah, Kevin (Misty) and Micah; 2 Great-grandchildren: Sebastian and Trevor.

Friends may call Friday 5-8pm at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. (SR 36), Delaware where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30, Rev. Tim Reeves officiating. Interment Oller Cemetery.
