Virginia “Ginny” Fix

Virginia “Ginny” Fix, age 72, of Nevada, died unexpectedly on Monday evening, September 10, 2007, at the Sunbridge Care Center following a courageous battle with leukemia.
She was born in Richland Township of Marion County, on May 19, 1935, the daugther of the late Ernest and Hazel Hensel Klingel. Ginny graduated from Waldo High School in the Class of 1953 and was a resident of the Waldo area until she moved to Nevada in 1967.
For 23 years, Ginny worked as a cook at Finger’s Corner in Nevada. She also spent time working at Fulfillment and the J. Mash Company.
She was a member of the Peace Community United Church of Christ, the Waldo Alumni Association, the American Legion Auxilary, the Whetstone Grange, and formerly was a member of the Pythian Sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Steve (Betty Jo) Fix of Bucyrus, and David Fix of Nevada; two grandchildren: Matt Fix of Canton and Kylie Fix of Bucyrus; one great-grandson: Silas Hero of Bucyrus; two brothers: F. Delano (Marcia Gray) Klingel of Delaware, and Harry (Janie) Klingel of Waldo; her special friends: James “Scotty” Smalley and Joan Young both of Nevada; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Including her parents, Ginny was preceded in death by her sisters: Elinor Salyer, Wanda Klingel, and Joan Baker; and by her brother: Richard Klingel.
Her family will greet friends on Thursday from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 E. Center St., Marion. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Peace Community United Church of Christ, 4061 St. Rt. 98 S., Waldo, with Rev. Joel Fetter officiating. Burial will follow in Waldo Cemetery.
