Virginia Fulkerson, 86, of Galion passed away early Friday morning, October 9, 2015 at Ohio Health MedCentral Hospital in Mansfield.

She was born March 26, 1929 in Galion and was the daughter of Anna (Crane) Teynor Walizer.

On June 14, 1947 she married David C. Fulkerson and they enjoyed nearly 67 years of marriage until his passing on April 9, 2014.

Ginnie worked for a short time at North Electric in Galion. She and her husband owned and operated Dave’s Tavern in Galion for nearly 40 years. Ginnie enjoyed her flowers around the house and was an avid dog lover. She supported the Morrow County Humane Society and would always check on the neighborhood dogs.

Ginnie is survived by son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Cindy Fulkerson of Mt. Gilead; grandchildren John J. Gardner and Lindi Osborn; a great granddaughter Madelynn Smith and her beloved dog, Sweet Pea.

She is preceded in death by her mother and husband Dave Fulkerson.

A Memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes by Chaplain Shelley McNeal. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Iberia Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Morrow County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
