Virgie Marie Davis

Virgie Marie Davis, of 18311 Keck Road, Butler, passed away February 10, 2002 at Knox Community Hospital Following a short illness. Born Virgie Marie Trammell on March 28, 1917 in Winfield, Tennessee to Dock and Josie (Baker) Trammell.
Virgie was a homemaker who showed her love by cooking wonderful homemade meals for all of the family to enjoy. She was a life time member of the First Baptist Church of Bellville.
She is survived by her husband Roscoe Davis, Sr., who she married December 31, 1938. Three sons, Ralph Sherwood (Ruth) Davis, Alfred (Shelba) Davis, and Roscoe Jr. (Sondra) Davis, all from the Butler area, five grandchildren, Terry (Mary) Davis, Charlene (Mike) Bower, Kevin (Lorraine) Davis, Lisa (Roger) Brown and Michael Davis. Also survived by daughter-in-law Pauline Dahlhofer and six great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Paul Trammell and Floyd (Edna) Trammell also survive as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was precededin death by her parents, two sons, Rubin Earl Davis and Thurman Lee Davis, two sisters, Beulah Jones, Geneva Smithers, four brothers, Willie, Ed, Russell, and Virgil Trammell.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home where a funeral service will be Wednesday at 10 AM with the Rev. Kenneth Dick officiating. Burial will follow in Bellville cemetery.
