Vincentia “Vinnie” Contrascere Caira
MANSFIELD: Vincentia “Vinnie” Caira, 85, of Winchester Road, Mansfield, died Sunday morning December 15, 2002 in SCCI Hospital, Mansfield, following a short illness.
She was born December 14, 1917 in Cleveland to Nunzio and Rosie (Sidoti) Contraceri, and lived in Michigan for 48 years, prior to her 1999 move to Mansfield.
A homemaker, Vinnie was a member of Bethel Christian Church, Warren, Michigan, who enjoyed reading.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law Mary and Sam Urso of Northville, Michigan and Joann Cone of Clinton Township, Michigan; a son Angelo Caira of Casco, Michigan; 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters-in-law Russell and Virginia Contrascere of Mansfield, John and Juanita Contrascere of Shelby and David Contrascere of Mansfield; two sisters and a brother-in-law Betty and Dan Mauritz of Mansfield and Esther Ridenour of Graniteville, South Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Caira; a son Rowland Caira; three sisters Rosie Manz , Sarah Contrascere, and Mary Robinette and a brother Sam Contrascere.
Friends may call Tuesday December 17, 2002 from 11 am until 1 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral will follow at 1 pm. Her nephew Marc Contrascere will officiate. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
