Vincent C. “Vince” Ash

October 28, 1965 ‒ January 07, 2020

Butler, Ohio

BUTLER: Vincent C. “Vince” Ash passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020. He was 54.

He was born October 28, 1965 in Mansfield to James Glen and Alma Jean (Conn) Ash, and graduated from Clear Fork High School in 1983.  Vince also studied radiology at North Central State College, and earned his Bachelor’s degree from Washburn University in radiation therapy.

On February 14, 1987 he married Pamela L. Grossman with whom he celebrated 32 years.

Vince worked as an x-ray technician, radiation therapist, and most recently was employed at Varian Medical Systems installing and teaching facilities to use radiation equipment.

Hardworking, Vince traveled frequently for work, but relished in quality time spent at home with his family.  A true family man, he would do nearly anything if it included his children and grandchildren.  He enjoyed being outdoors, Mohican being his favorite place to hang out.  Vince liked hiking, swimming and taking the kids out on various adventures in the woods.

Selfless and giving, nothing mattered more to Vince than his family.

He is survived by his wife Pamela L. Ash of Butler, two children, McKala and Trevor Moreland of Bellville, and Cody Ash of Butler and his fiancée Madison Dretzka; four grandchildren Breanna Moreland, Lucy Moreland, Trevor, Jr. “T.J.” Moreland, Emily Ash, and two baby boys due in June, his mother Alma Ash of Ontario, his brother James and Lori Ash of Butler, his sister Anita Clay of Shelby, his mother-in-law Ramona Grossman of Mansfield, his brother-in-law Brad and Dee Grossman of Mansfield, his sister-in-law Sheila and Roger Sims of Ontario, 11 nieces and nephews, and 6 great nieces and nephews.

Vince was preceded in death by his father James Ash, his father-in-law Mark Grossman, an infant sister Alma Ash, his sisters-in-law Brenda Grossman, 3 Moreland grand babies, and his great niece Kensley Reed.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday January 18, 2020 at 2 pm, at North Bend Church of the Brethren located at 1787 Snyder Rd Butler, Ohio 44822.

Donations in honor of Vince may be made to the Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 3552 Mansfield, Ohio 44907 or Central Ohio Men Against Prostate Cancer, P.O. Box 3504 Dublin Ohio 43016-0247.
