Victoria A. “Vickie” Turner, age 59, Beloved wife and partner of 40 years, proud mom to three young men, Cherished grandma to seven stinkers, Youthful great grandmother to six babies and Dear friend to countless others, left this earth on May 9, 2017 while resting at home in Mt. Gilead, Ohio.

Vickie was a dedicated mom and homemaker.  Vickie enjoyed taking as many pictures of her friends and family as she could get away with.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, teaching them how to fish and sew.  Vickie loved to travel and often joined her husband on day long geocaching excursions.  She always made blankets for all the new additions to the family.

Her loving family includes but wasn’t limited to husband, Everett Turner.  Sons: Michael Turner and ex-wife Loretta Hillman, Daniel Turner and wife Laurie Turner, and Russell Turner.  Grandchildren: Freddie Dixson, Timothy Dixson, Daniel Turner, Victoria Turner, Michael Turner, Abigail Turner, Carrie Turner/Drake.  Sisters: Penny Miguel, Nellie Epley, and Susan Wright.  Brother, Eugene Wright and many many more people touched by her soul.

She was preceded in death by her mother Janice Wright and father Eugene Wright.

Vickie’s family will greet friends from 4 – 6 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017, at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 N. Main St., Mount Gilead.  A time of sharing by family and friends will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions in Vickie’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 471 E. Broad St., Suite 1630, Columbus, OH 43215.

      • Dear Bud, I just read today 5/14 that my dear friend has passed away. Oh God Bud ! She was way too young. Larry always said I should read the paper. I am so sorry for you and her wonderful family. This wasn’t suppose to happen. I loved her like she was my sister. I love you all & feel your loss. GOD BLESS And take care.

        • Fern she was your sister dear. She loved you very much. I hated that you had to read about her passing I wanted to come by and tell you but this has been really just to much for me. Love you friend.

  • We have all lost a great person but I can not even to begin to understand how you are feeling Bud. Just remember you are surrounded by people who care about you and will do anything for you. Life is going to be hard without your best friend by your side but she will be there in spirit.

  • I never met mammaw Vickie but Victoria would always tell me how sweet she was, im sorry for this to happen I will keep you all in my prayers, it’s really hard watching everyone go through all of this, you guys are like family to me.

  • Gary and I remember a lot of good times we had together. The best memory when she was working a puzzle at the kitchen table and could not find the piece, and Gary walked up and found the piece she had been looking so long for, and she swore he had it hid from her.
