Verna M. Wright

Verna M. Wright, age 81, of Centerburg died Thursday morning March 30, 2006 at Knox Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
She was born in Zanesville on June 7, 1924 to the late Charles and Gladys (Greene) MacDonald, A resident of Centerburg since 1970, she was a homemaker, who dearly loved her children and grandchildren. She was very active in following her grandchildren in their sports, music or school activities and loved to play cards with her friends. She participated in the county fairs in Morrow County, for 19 years, and Knox County for 10 years, showing flowers, baked goods and canned items from her garden. In 2003 she was the Grand Marshall for the Morrow County Fair parade. Her family said she cooked the best rabbit and squirrel around.
She is survived by her Sons: Gary (Alice), Stephen (Beverly), David (Wanda) and Walter; Daughter: Verna G. (Paul) Farson all of Centerburg. 12 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren. Brother: Thomas McDonald of Columbus; Sister: Bettie Smith of Mount Vernon.
She was proceeded by her husband: Morgan S. Wright on January 21, 1987.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury where funeral services will be held Monday 11 a.m. with Pastor Larry Carnes officiating. Graveside committal services will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Dublin Cemetery.
