Twila Maxine “Max” Liming
April 08, 1952 ‒ September 25, 2008
Twila Maxine “Max” Liming, age 56, of Marengo, went to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, September 25, 2008, at her sister’s residence surrounded by her family following over a four year battle with breast cancer.
She was born on April 8, 1952 in Delaware, Ohio, the daughter of the late Lewis Sr. and Betty Jane (Roberts) Durst.
A dedicated worker, Max worked as a laborer for the Shape and Form Co. in Plain City, and the Ranco Corp. in Delaware. For the past seven years, she found her calling as a home health care aid working for Angels Home Health Care of Mount Gilead.
A woman of faith, Max was a member of the Fresh Faith Church of the Nazarene in Mount Gilead.
With a love for bingo, Max and her family always looked forward to the next bingo hall they could make it to.
Always on the lookout for a garage sale, Max’s family was used to having to slam on the brakes to find clothes and gifts for her beloved grandchildren.
Always redecorating, Max loved to spruce up a room with a new fresh coat of paint.
Having a warm loving heart for everyone, Max unconditionally loved all of her family and friends. She would kindly and patiently care for all of their needs, no matter the circumstance. Her favorite times were spent being surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Max will be dearly missed by her husband, Steve Liming of Marengo; three children: Scott (Nikki) Bascomb of Worthington, Laura Bascomb (Ross Traster) of Pigeon Forge, TN, and Samantha Mulkey (Ray Barkley) of Columbus; step-son, Scott Liming of Columbus; ten grandchildren: Sierra, Chey, Austria, Kate, Dominic, Dakota, Austin, Devin, Brooke, and Shae; four sisters: Mary Jane Cremeans of Mt. Gilead, Joann Van Dyke (Roger McNichols) of Delaware, Louise (Ronnie) Hankins, and Suzie (Ted) Hess, both of Mt. Gilead; two brothers: William Durst, and Lewis Jr. (Marsha) Durst, both of Mt. Vernon; special niece, Bridget “Sherry” Hess; sister-in-law, Linda (Steve) Reed of Bucyrus; brother-in-law, Terry (Julie) Liming of Delaware; and a large extended family.
In addition to her parents, Max was preceded in death by her nephew, Ronald L. Hankins.
Services celebrating Max’s life will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 North Main Street, Mount Gilead, with Pastor T.J. McNew officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Chesterville.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests memorial contributions be made to Homecare Matters (Hospice of Galion), P. O. Box 327, Galion, Ohio 44833, or to Fresh Faith Community Church of the Nazarene, 7326 St. Rt. 19, Unit 1503, Mt. Gilead, Ohio 43338.
