Trula L. Ashley

MANSFIELD: Trula L. Ashley, 74, of Chestnut Court, Mansfield, died Saturday morning December 9, 2006 in Capital Regional Medical Center, Tallahassee, Florida, following a long illness.
She was born June 18, 1932 in Van, West Virginia to William L. and Marjorie Alice (Rowe) Tate, and attended Mansfield Schools.
On July 29, 1948 she married Berthal Travis Ashley, who preceded her in death.
Trula had worked 17 years as an assembler with Dominion Electric in Mansfield, and enjoyed traveling this great country.
She was a member of Laver Road Free Will Baptist Church, and delighted in reading her Bible.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Deborah and Russell Gregory of Tallahassee, Florida; sons Rich Ashley and Tony Ashley both of Mansfield; grandchildren Lori Borchers of Florence, KY, Heather Douglas of Tallahassee, FL, Heath Ashley, Columbus, Josh Ashley of Mansfield, Scott Ashley of Louisville, KY, Misti Ashley of Mansfield; seven great grandchildren; a twin sister Eula and brother-in-law Raymond Robey of Bellville, sisters Lela Shelton of Bellville, and Delida “Gertie” Griffitts of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Lola Craft, and two brothers Willard Tate and Clifton Tate.
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 14, 2006 from 5-8 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Friday at 10 am. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
