Treisa (Ruhl) Nedrow
February 07, 1968 ‒ November 05, 2014
BUTLER: A friend to many in the Clear Fork Valley, Treisa (Ruhl) Nedrow’s quiet smile was genuine and heartfelt. A successful coach, teacher, and mentor, much like Christ, Treisa selflessly dedicated her time and energy to those around her. Strong in faith, on Wednesday November 5, 2014, Treisa kept her faith and finished her race after a valiant battle with cancer. She was 46.
The daughter of Carl and Mary Ann (Kirkpatrick) Ruhl, Treisa was born February 7, 1968 in Mansfield. Raised in Butler, she was always active and excelled at sports. A three sport athlete, Treisa played volleyball, basketball, and softball. Upon graduating Clear Fork High School in 1986, she was one of the best pitchers to have worn a Lady Colts uniform. Recently Treisa was inducted into the Clear Fork Valley Athletic Hall of Fame.
Treisa’s success followed her to Mt. Vernon Nazarene University where she was a starting pitcher for the Cougars, and was inducted into the Mt. Vernon Nazarene University Wall of Fame. Treisa earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and began teaching locally.
For the past 22 years, Treisa has taught for the Clear Fork School District, teaching 4th grade and currently 2nd grade in Bellville.
For over 20 years, she has been a coach for the highly successful Lady Colts Varsity softball program. A mentor to her players, she offered guidance from personal experience as a player herself. Hardworking and motivated, Treisa influenced her players in a way that reached far beyond the softball diamond.
A member of Crossroads Community Church, her strong faith was not bound by any physical condition or illness. Treisa will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit.
She is survived by her daughter Kaeli Nedrow of Ontario; parents Carl and Mary Ann Ruhl of Butler; brothers and sisters-in-law Trevis and Tracey Ruhl of Fredericktown and Trent and Denise Ruhl of Butler; nephews and nieces Tyler, Tanner, Teegan, Morgan, and Macey; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family; her best friend-Chocolate Lab, Lexi.
