Tracey Lee Whiting

December 27, 1960 ‒ November 03, 2015

Mansfield, Ohio

MANSFIELD: Tracey Lee Whiting passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015 in her home in Clearwater, Florida after 15 years of courageous battle with MS. She was 54.

She was born December 27, 1960 to parents Robert & Zettie (Hall) West in Mansfield. Tracey was graduated from Vanguard High School in Ocala, Florida.

In spare time, she took pleasure in writing poetry and reading. But above all, Tracey cherished her cat. She adored Misty, her grey colored cat that was rescued from Hurricane Katrina. Misty rode around on Tracey’s walker and would have to “hang on for dear life” around the corners.

She is survived by her brothers Richard (Jackie) West and Dennis (Shellie) West; sisters Roberta West, LuAnn Howard, Vickie West, and Katherine West all of Mansfield; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her parents Tracey was preceded in death by her daughter Candace Whiting.

The family will be holding a memorial service honoring the life of Tracey on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Grace Episcopal Church, 41 Bowman St Mansfield, Ohio, at 4 p.m. The Rev. Joe L. Ashby will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Tracey’s memory may be made to her family to benefit the Tracey L. Whiting Memorial Fund (please make checks payable to Vickie West) and may be mailed to the funeral home.

Snyder Funeral Homes is honored to serve Tracey’s family and encourage you to share a fond memory or message of condolence to them at SnyderFuneralHomes.com

  • Remembering Tracey and the fun times we had growing up as cousins 🙂 I always like to think that maybe when we look up, it’s not stars that we’re seeing, but loved ones who have passed before us♡
