Tony Garrison, 65 of Delaware, died unexpectedly Monday morning March 23, 2009 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware.
He was born on June 21, 1943 in Prospect to the late Veldon and Margaret (Legg) Garrison. He lived in Delaware most of his life and was a retired truck driver for Henderson Trucking with 10 years of service.
Tony loved every aspect of horses, saying they were God’s most beautiful creatures. He also enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and driving in the rain. A very practical person, plain and simple, who loved dogs. He was willing to share with others, often giving away his race winnings to the homeless.
He is survived by his wife of almost 13 years: Angelina (Galleger) and they were married in Delaware on June 30, 1996; son: Joe (Lisa) of Columbus; daughters: Tiffany (Travis) Full of Belpre, Nina (Shannon) Toll of Columbus; 4 grandchildren; brother: James (Nancy) Of Columbus; sister: Ruth (Charles) Neff of Columbus.
Friends may call one hour prior to the 1 p.m. Memorial Service on Thursday at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William Street (SR 36), Delaware.
