Timothy John Cockrell

October 30, 1962 ‒ June 28, 2019

Marion, Ohio

Timothy John Cockrell, age 56 of Marion, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019 at Marion General Hospital.

Tim was born on October 30, 1962 in Mount Gilead, the son of David L. and Charlotte Ann (Pryor) Cockrell.

Tim worked hard his entire life to provide for his family. He drove truck all over the United States, working for Venture Logistics.

He truly was a family man and treasured the time he spent with them. He was the kind of guy that would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians in the summer and every fall he was cheering on the Ohio State Buckeye football team. Fishing and playing BINGO were also fun things Tim enjoyed doing. He could be found listening to the great sounds of classic rock, whether it was Led Zeppelin, Queen or Elton John. And everyone who knew Tim, knew he loved his little dogs.

He will be dearly missed by his children: Megan (Matthew Chandler) Cockrell, Neil (Courtney Bulstron) and Kayla (Austin) Hickman; grandchildren: Deanna Cockrell, Payton, Millie Cockrell, Jordan Chandler, Keegan Cockrell and Hazel-Grace Chandler; his father, David L. (Ruby) Cockrell; sister Nora (John) Fox and step siblings: Tammy Laughlin, Mike Rice and Kim Carpenter.

Tim is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kendra Dee Cockrell and his mother, Charlotte Ann Cockrell.

A Potluck Gathering will be held Saturday, July 6, 2019 at  2PM at the American Legion, 1549 Co Rd 26, Marengo, OH 43334.

The Snyder Funeral Homes of Marion are honored to be serving the Cockrell family.
