Timothy Benton Doughty, 47, of Galloway passed away Sunday morning February 24, 2013 at Doctors West Hospital, Columbus.

He was born August 30, 1965 in Columbus to Darrell and Frances (Davies) Doughty.

Tim was a 1984 graduate of Briggs High School and later attended the DeVry Institute. On June 30, 1990, he married the love of his life Jeaniene (Schemine) and to this union was born a daughter Shelby Kaye Doughty. He worked for Sedgwick CMS in Columbus and he enjoyed cars, sci-fi especially Star Wars and Star Trek, going camping, reading, and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed going to his daughter’s archery.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife and daughter; his father of Grove City; brothers, Darrell (Annette) of Marysville and Michael (Lori) of Grove City; nephews, Darrell and Trevor Doughty and Tyler and Nathan Jenkins; brother-in-law, Steven (Renee’) Schemine of Dublin; sister-in-law, Tina (Mark) Reid of Ostrander; father-in-law, Stefan (Margaret) Schemine of Delaware; best friend, Tim Eiterman of Galloway; close friend, Mollie Rybicki of Galloway; dear friend, John Scott of Delaware. He was preceded in death by his mother, 2 brothers Daniel and Matthew Doughty, and his mother-in-law Edythe Schemine.

The family will receive friends on Friday March 1st from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William Street at Valleyside Drive, Delaware and where funeral services will be held on Saturday March 2nd at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Delaware.

Tim shared the “Gift of Life” through organ and tissue donation and contributions in his memory may be made to Lifeline of Ohio, 770 Kinnear Road, Columbus, Ohio 43212.
