Timothy Alan “Tim” Rinehart

August 15, 1956 ‒ November 29, 2017

Mansfield, Ohio

MANSFIELD: To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.

Timothy Alan “Tim” Rinehart, 61 of Mansfield, OH, returned to his heavenly home Wednesday, November 29, 2017. His firm belief in God supported him in his courageous battle with cancer, and ultimately gave him peace.

Tim was the youngest son of Thelma (Atherton) Rinehart and Paul Rinehart, born in August 1956. He was a 1974 graduate of Crestview High School.  After proudly serving in the U.S. Navy, he returned to the Mansfield area to eventually work for Kokosing Construction Company as a Piping Superintendent.  Retiring after 31 years, he then spent his time collecting motorcycles, camping and spending time with family and his beloved dog Chance.

Tim could be a man of few words, but he was always supportive, approachable and warm-hearted. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, practical jokes and his kind, caring nature.

Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma; brothers, Thomas Rinehart and Gary Rinehart and his faithful dog Chance.

He will be deeply missed by his children, Joni Rinehart and Zach (Melissa) Rinehart; his wife, Denise Rinehart; his father, Paul (Hannelore) Rinehart; sister Nancy (Nanette Mattern) Rinehart; sister-in-law, Kathy Poese; granddaughters, Kylie, Peyton, Ashtyn, Eden, Ellie and Emeila; niece, Jama Rinehart and nephews Andy Rinehart, Taylor Rinehart.

Services honoring his life will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11am in the Waterford United Methodist Church, 20595 Waterford Road, Fredericktown, Ohio 43019. Pastor Tadd Sponseller will officiate.  Military Honors performed by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council will follow.

Tim’s family is appreciative of the exceptional care provided by the staff of Hospice of North Central Ohio.

The Bellville Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the Rinehart family and online condolences to them may be made by visiting:SnyderFuneralHomes.com.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Tim’s memory to Hospice of North Central Ohio or The Humane Society of Richland County may be made through the funeral home.
