Timothy A. Whited

January 03, 1941 ‒ June 03, 2011

Fredericktown, Ohio

Timothy Artemus Whited was born January 3, 1941 in Buchanan County, Virginia to Ethel and Artemus Whited and went on to Heaven to be with his Savior Thursday, June 3, 2011. He succumbed to unexpected heart failure after 70 full years of life.

Tim was raised in the mountains of Grundy, Virginia were he learned the value of becoming a man early and how to get the most out of any situation. As a young man he decided to move to the heart of Ohio where he locked eyes on, captured, and married his beautiful bride Marilyn Joyce Dilley on October 27, 1962. They enjoyed a model marriage of friendship and devotion for 48 years.

Tim was a natural leader full of integrity and commitment in every aspect of his life. His work ethic was an example to follow as he devoted 40 years to the construction industry. His hobbies included motorcycles, golf, bee keeping, eagle watching, and gardening. Moreover, in January 1981, he rededicated and focused his life to Jesus through service to others through his local church. Tim was preceded in death by two siblings and survived by seven others. In addition, he had three children, Mrs. Greg (Tamara) Collins, Vaughan and Chris Whited, seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
