Thomas W. “Tom” Zieg, age 72 of Prospect, passed away at his residence Friday afternoon March 25, 2016.

He was born on October 13, 1943 in Marion to the late Robert and Cartha (Dutton) Zieg. He was a lifelong farmer retiring in 1993

Tom was very proud of his family and strived to be the best at farming and in all endeavors of his life. He enjoyed riding his Harley, cooking and getting together with his friends.

He is survived by his son: Shaun (Lisa) Zieg of Ashley; grandchild: Aaron Zieg; sister: Marilyn (Marty) Winters of Columbus; special friend: Mary Jamison of Marion; 2 nieces.

Preceded in death by brother: John R. Zieg.

Private services for the family will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, Delaware.
