Thomas Michael “Mike” Tracy, 60, of New Gambier Road, Mount Vernon, passed away Monday February 18, 2002 at Knox Community Hospital. He was born on November 8, 1941 in Danville the son of Duke and Evelyn (Church) Tracy. Mr. Tracy owned and operated Tracy and Mills Surveyors. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Tracy graduated from the 1959 class of Danville High School and had attended The Ohio State University. He was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, the Professional Land Surveyors; Congress of Surveying and Mapping; and the National Federation of Independent Businesses. He loved many hobbies including sailing, listening to music and traveling.

He is survived by his mother Evelyn (Church) Tracy, his wife of 33 years Linda (Bowell) Tracy, two daughters, Kelly Stachler (Chuck) Hallman of Mount Vernon, Amanda Tracy of Denver, Colorado, two grandchildren, Marcus Adkins, Chloe Hallman, two brothers, Marvin (Nancy) Tracy of Connecticut, Chris (Gwen) Tracy of Lexington, Ohio, a sister Mary Murnieks of Columbus and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Duke Tracy and two brothers James and Richard Tracy.

Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 PM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be Friday at 3 PM at the First Congregational United Church of Christ with Rev. Keith Stuart officiating.
