Thomas F. Grogg, age 74, of Fredericktown died Tuesday morning, October 18, 2016 at the Country Club Rehabilitation Center in Mount Vernon.  He was born May 21, 1942 in Loudonville to the late Gale and Alice Grogg.

Tom owned and operated his custom built trucks for over 30 years and later in life he was a crane and dragline operator.  He enjoyed attending car shows with his 1955 Ford truck, fishing and watching Nascar.  Tom will be remembered for his sense of humor, being a workaholic, his strong will and his willingness to always lend a helping hand.

Tom is survived by his son, Dean (Laurey) Grogg of Fredericktown; granddaughter, Kristian Grogg of Fredericktown; brother, Dave Grogg of Chattanooga, TN; and sister, Theresa Cockrell of Fredericktown;  brother-in-law, Keith Welch of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra S. (Welch) Grogg on February 14, 2013; a son, Rodney T. Grogg on June 6, 2014; and brothers, Frank, Bill and Harold Grogg.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2016     at the Fredericktown United Methodist Church, 123 Columbus Rd., Fredericktown.  A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016 in Forest Cemetery with Rev. Richard Hasley officiating.
