Thomas A. Doucher, Jr., 75, of Powell, Ohio, passed away on Thursday morning, June 30, 2016 at the Arbor’s at Delaware.

Thomas was born on July 27, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Thomas A. Doucher, Sr. and Rosemary Garvey Doucher.  At the very young age of one, he and his family moved to Ohio, where he spent the majority of his life.  After graduating from High School, Thomas served his country in the U.S. Army, Infantry Division, and served in Korea for most of his tour.  After his tour in the Army, Thomas came back to Ohio and attended and graduated from The Ohio State University, and had received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree.   He worked in the Property and Casualty Claims Insurance  Division for many years.  He was a member of the West Berlin Presbyterian Church, Delaware.  He was a huge Ohio State Buckeye fan, and enjoyed playing golf and traveling.  He especially enjoyed the time that he spent with his sons and his granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife of over 44 years- Eileen (Heindel) Doucher; one son- Stephen (Lauren) Doucher of Powell; one granddaughter- Marie Doucher; one brother- Paul (Sondra) Doucher of Dublin; two sisters- Mary Ellen Lee of Grove City, Ohio and Kathleen (Thomas) Ihnat of Savannah, Georgia; sister-in-law, Margaret Heindel of Springfield, Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents that have preceded him in death are his son- Brian Doucher and his sister- Rosemary Doucher.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 5-7 p.m., in the Snyder Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive, Delaware.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., in the West Berlin Presbyterian Church, 2911 Berlin Station Road, Delaware, with the Rev. Robert J. Gustafson, Pastor, officiating.  Burial will follow in Kingwood Memorial Park.  Following the burial, the family would like to invite all in attendance to join them for a luncheon which will be held at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the West Berlin Presbyterian Church, Delaware.

The Snyder Rodman Funeral Center, Delaware, is honored to be serving the family of Thomas A. Doucher, Jr.
