Theressa E. Armstrong Birch

July 14, 1949 ‒ September 13, 2019

Marengo, Ohio

Theressa E. Armstrong Birch, of Marengo, passed away Friday morning, September 13, 2019, at the Kobacker House in Columbus.

On July 14, 1949, Theressa was born in Eccles, West Virginia, daughter of Mary Ruth (Caudill) Kinsler and the late Robert Kinsler.  She graduated from Rocky River High School in Cleveland in the Class of 1967.

In January of 1985, Theressa met the love of her life, Robert A. “Bob” Birch.  They lovingly shared the last 35 years together.

For many years, Theressa worked as a claims agent for Aetna.  She and Bob then started a carpentry company, Birch Interiors.  She was very hands on and did all of the “smart stuff” for the business.

Theressa had a special place in hear heart for animals.  She and Bob rescued numerous dogs, cats and other animals over the years.  She especially loved her horses, riding, showing and barrel racing.

Theressa was a very friendly woman who always had a smile on her face.  She loved talking to everyone, and if you had a chat with her, you instantly became friends.  She loved and supported her family with all of her being and was an inspiration to many.

Theressa will be dearly missed by her husband, Bob, of Marengo; two sons: David DeFranco of Columbus, Robert (Beth) Birch of Delaware; her grandchildren: Dante and McKenzie Birch; step-brother, Robert Kinsler of WA; and her cousin, Linda Collins of Cleveland.

Per Theressa’s wishes, no services will be held.
