Theodore F. Ebner, 63, of 6434 Lincoln Highway, Crestline, died Saturday, July 8, 2006 at home after a brief illness.

Born October 15, 1942 in Lima, he was the son of the late Claude B. “Cy” Ebner and Virginia W. Walsh Ebner. He married Catherine Hackworth Ebner on July 5, 2006 and she survives.

He was a graduate of Lima Central Catholic High School and received his medical degree from the Ohio State University.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galion. He loved horse back riding, Elvis and working around his home outdoors and nature in general. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was an Orthopedic Surgeon in Galion for 32 years and co-owned Crawford County Orthopedics. He also practiced in Mt. Gilead, Bucyrus and the former Crestline Hospitals.

He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Ginny and Oleg Chetverikov of Delaware, Erin and Jay Shawk of Galion; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ted and Crystal Ebner of Galion, Tom and Mindy Meyer of New Albany; two stepsons, Joshua and Jacob Springer of Bowling Green; eight grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Tom Ebner of Medina, David and Shayla Ebner of Battleground, Wash., Karl and Isabel Ebner of Okemos, Mich.; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Claudia Ebner of Oceanside, Calif., Mary Anne Ebner and David Weaver of Columbus and Ellen and Vince Finelli of Columbus.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

A Vigil Service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday during calling hours with Deacon Ray Lyons officiating.
