Theodora “Teddy” Hershner Miller, age 75, died Saturday, February 20, 2021 at her home in Palm Harbor, Florida surrounded by family.
Teddy was born on June 26, 1945 in Galion, Ohio to the late Theodore C. and Beulah (Eckleberry) Pilliod. She attended Galion High School graduating in 1963. After high school, Teddy worked as a hairdresser before going back to school earning an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy. Teddy worked for Bucyrus Hospital and BayCare Health Systems in Clearwater, Florida as a Respiratory Therapist before retiring.
Teddy married Timothy I. Miller on January 15, 1998. Together the two spent summers on Lake Erie at The Y-Condo. Teddy loved to spend time on the water fishing for walleye and perch. Not being a fan of the cold, Teddy and Tim spent many winters in Florida where they enjoyed golfing and attending neighborhood functions.
In Teddy’s free time, she could often be found spending time with people in need, working on jigsaw puzzles, playing Cribbage and cards with the neighbors. As a woman of faith, Teddy attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galion and St. Luke Catholic Church in Palm Harbor.
Teddy will be missed by her husband, Timothy Miller of Palm Harbor; son Sean (Jennifer) Hershner of Suffolk, VA; daughter, Angela Hershner of Crestline, OH; stepchildren, Andy (Shelly) Miller and Beth (Derek) Strickland; grand-children, Madisyn, Jacob, Ava, Emily, Miller, Megan, Andrea, Brayden, Connor and Walker; sister, Susanne (Carl) Booth of Port Aransas, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galion.

Teddy always had a smile and a kind word for my family. We will miss her humor and her warmth. Summers won’t be the same without her. Our condolences to your family.
Will certainly miss Teddy at Y Condo, especially by the boardwalk. She loved walking down to the lake and chatting with everyone on the way. Will definitely miss that.

We have been Florida neighbors with Teddy for 13 years! She was such a welcoming, fun neighbor! She will be so missed in our neighborhood! Dances at Highland Lakes will not be the same without her. Teddy was a special person. She was gracious and kind to everyone. I loved playing cards with her. “it’s only a game” will live as Teddy’s motto. Daryl and I send sympathy and love to Tim and her family. The hole she leaves will never be filled.
