Thelma K. Foor 80, of Delaware, passed away Friday, December 6, 2019 at Marion General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Born June 17, 1939 in Delaware, Ohio the daughter of the late William Johnson & Goldie (Hart) Cox. Thelma worked in banking, and insurance for Delaware County Bank for several years, before her retirement. She was active in the AMVETS Post 102 in Delaware, and also with the Delaware City Schools, where she was a playground attendant, helped with after school tutoring, and was active in the art programs.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Marvin Foor in 1996 and grandson Shane Kraus in 2013 who she adored, and treated like a son, and all of her brothers and sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters Vicky (Scott) Powell, Kathy Chillson, Patty (Greg) Johns, and Julie (Bill) Dew; ten grandchildren; numerous great –grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Thelma enjoyed anything that had to do with crafts or making something. She enjoyed crocheting, making several afghans for people in nursing homes. She Also enjoyed going to craft shows as much as she could. When she wasn’t crafting, she was playing euchre, and was the secretary of Euchre League Deals. Her daughters and those close to her will remember her as the caring and giving person that she was.

The family welcomes you to share in a Graveside service that will take place Monday, December 16, 2019 at 1:00pm at Oak Grove Cemetery. A memorial gathering celebrating Thelma’s life will take place at 2:00 pm at the Ostrander Community Hall, 3737 Ostrander Road, Ostrander, Ohio 43061.
