Terry Wayne Henson, age 65 of Marion, passed away at his home, Thursday, December 03, 2020.

Terry was born on September 23, 1955 in Dayton, the son of Buddy Glenn and Juanita Ruth (Jefferson) Henson. He was united in marriage to Linda Sue Roberts on January 27, 1978.

Terry worked as a cashier for Hills Department Store and Aims Department Store; he served as a bus aide for the Head Start program and, along with his wife, was a daycare provider for Marion County. His primary occupation was working with International Paper for 50 years, serving in many positions during his tenure with the company. He was a member of the International Paper Union #1331. Terry was wholly devoted to his family and cherished every minute spent with them. He loved the outdoors, watching television and being surrounded by his little dogs that he adored.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Sue Henson; sons: Christopher Wayne (fiancé Tammy Garrett) Henson and Tommy Lee Henson; grandchildren: Kayla Dawn (Steve) Summers, Cassandra Joel (fiancé Chase Glass) Smith, Nathan Allen Henson and Joseph Glenn Henson; great granddaughter, Addie Bowan; sister Penny Sue (Raymond) Koker; half-brother, Rodney Givens; niece Angie (Elaine Hawkins) Young, friend, Shane Koker and a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends.

Terry is preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Juanita and John Trexler; father, Buddy Glenn Henson; son, John Thomas Smith and grandson, Elias Michael Glenn Henson.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Snyder Funeral Homes, Gunder/Hall Chapel, 347 West Center St., Marion from 1PM to 4PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist in building a Memorial Garden in Terry’s honor.
