Terry Michael “Mike” Meade

September 30, 1972 ‒ October 03, 2018

Galion, Ohio

Terry Michael “Mike” Meade, age 46, of Galion, passed away at his home Wednesday evening, October 3, 2018.

On September 30, 1972, Mike was born in Yuba City, California, son of Mary Bernice (Upton) McDowell and the late Lionel Daniel Meade.

Mike enjoyed working in construction.  When he was 27 he had an accident that left him disabled.  He never let that accident stop him from living his life.

Mike was a huge Michigan fan and also enjoyed watching baseball, especially his favorite player, Ken Griffey Jr.

He loved working with his hands, making anything out of wood.  He was extremely artistic and enjoyed drawing.

Mike was a fun loving, sarcastic guy, always pulling practical jokes on people.  His mind was a sponge, and he always enjoyed learning something new.  No matter what you were doing, Mike was always your biggest supporter and fan.  Mike’s boys were his life, and he did a wonderful job raising them as a single dad.

Mike will be dearly missed by his three children: Michael (Kearia) Meade of Cardington, Skyler Meade of Galion, Cristian Meade of Galion; two grandchildren: Bella and Lane Meade; his mother, Bernice (Robert) McDowell of Galion; five siblings: sister, Kerrie Ann McNab of Rogue River, OR, , step-brother, Greg (Lena) Howard of San Diego, CA, sister, Tammy (Buddy) Davidson of Mount Gilead, sister, Tina Meade of Mount Gilead, brother, Patrick “Nate” (Trista) Meade of Florence, OR; and many nieces and nephews.

A private memorial will be held by the family at a later date.

Memorial contributions, if so desired, may be made to Hospice of Morrow County, 228 South St., Mount Gilead, OH 43338.

Snyder Funeral Homes of Mount Gilead are honored to have been chosen to serve Mike’s family, and your special memories or condolences may be shared with them by visiting www.SnyderFuneralHomes.com.
