BUTLER ~ A family man at heart, Terry Ward found peace and happiness within his wife, children, and five granddaughters. Fostering close relationships, you could say Terry’s life was rich- filled with love, devotion and commitment. On Saturday December 19, 2009 Terry L. Ward passed away following an extended illness surrounded by his loving family. He was 64.
Terry was born October 4, 1945 in Mansfield to Wendell W. and Marjorie F. (Bowman) Ward, and was graduated from Clear Fork High School in 1964, where he was active with the football, baseball and track athletic programs.

Described as a simple man who enjoyed life, Terry was proud of his restored 1924 Model-T that was his grandfathers. Often he would show it at area car shows, and had it shined for local parades. He enjoyed traveling with his family, just about anywhere in the US often returning to Florida every year for a couple of weeks.
Terry loved nature and spending time outdoors. In the warmer months that meant heading to Pleasant Hill Lake for a cruise on his pontoon boat.
Content with spending time with family or offering a life lesson to his granddaughters Terry was a pillar of support sturdy and dependable.
He was a member of the former Mount Sinai United Methodist Church in Butler.
