Susan J. Hopple, 71, of Galion passed away, Tuesday, October 8, 2019.

She was born November 21, 1947 in Bellaire, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Arch Jr., and Martha (Sutton) Wiley. Susan is survived by her husband of 45 years, Bruce E. Hopple, Jr., whom she married on October 26, 1974.

Susan received her Bachelor’s degree in counseling from Ohio University and her Master’s degree in Education from West Virginia University. She worked as a guidance counselor at Mohican Juvenile Correctional Facility in Perrysville. Susan was a member of the Mansfield First Assembly of God for 45 years. She enjoyed gardening and reading.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Heather (Dan) Murray of Willard; son Joshua (Tammy) Hopple of Steubenville, Ohio and two grandchildren, Josiah and Candace Hopple.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2019 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 15 with Pastor Tom Blair officiating. A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 16 in High Ridge Cemetery, Bellaire, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mansfield First Assembly of God in care of the funeral home.
