Susan Elaine “Susi” Johnson

May 31, 1960 ‒ May 26, 2019

Centerburg, Ohio

Susan Elaine “Susi” (Moreland) Johnson, age 58, of Columbus and formerly of Centerburg, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 26th, 2019 at home.

She was born on May 31, 1960 to the late Richard D. and Neva J. (McMillan) Moreland.  Susi graduated from Centerburg High School in 1978. She worked as an Executive Assistant for several companies over the years, including The Sturges Company, and most recently, at Safelite Auto Glass.

Susi enjoyed watching all kinds of movies, including true crime, thrillers, suspense, and comedies. She also liked to read within those same genres, as well as relaxing with a romance novel. Described by family members as a selfless, thoughtful, and caring person with a bubbly personality, she dearly loved her children and grandchildren. Her favorite expression of her love for them was that it extended “to the moon.” Susi’s greatest achievement was raising her son and daughter and seeing them create families of their own.

Susi is survived by son Brandon Johnson, San Francisco, CA; daughter Brittany (Dustin) Rausch, Galloway; brother Eric Moreland, Centerburg; sisters Debbie (Bob) Sears, Sparta and Beth (Glenn) Shearrow, Delaware, as well as grandchildren Ayden Johnson and Norah Rausch.

A Memorial Gathering for Susi will be held on Sunday, June 2nd, 2019  from 3-5 p.m., at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 637 N. St. 61 at St. Rt. 3, Sunbury.
