Steve Litt

July 14, 1950 ‒ September 21, 2017

Butler, Ohio

BUTLER: To make a difference in someone’s life, you don’t have to be perfect; you just have to care. Steve’s heart for others was evident in the way he lived his life, (he cared for his mother after she had surgery) always putting other before himself.

Steve Allen Litt went to be with the Lord Thursday, September 21, 2017 in Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was 67.

He was born July 14, 1950 in Mount Vernon to parents Emmett & Gladys (Boyd) Litt. He worked at Gorman Rupp as an Industrial Engineer for many years.

In spare time, he took pleasure in nature and flowers (He could grow anything). He loved life and enjoyed talking with people and making them laugh. He was a special person who will be missed by many.

He is survived by his siblings Patricia (Ray) Wolford, Emily (Larry) Ziegler, Gean (Randy) Myers, Nancy (Bryan) Freed, Emmett Jr. (Muffey) Litt and Scott Litt; several nieces, nephews and cousins and a special niece Teresa Myers. Steve was preceded in death by his parents.

The Litt family will receive friends Monday, September 25, 2017 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home where a funeral service honoring Steve’s life will begin immediately at 3 p.m. Pastor Brandon Keck will speak. Burial will follow in Owl Creek Cemetery.

Contributions in Steve’s memory can be made to Snyder Funeral Homes to assist the family with final expenses.
