Stephen “Poppy” Thrall, 99, of Galena passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

  • My mother always said they don’t make them like Steve Thrall anymore, he’s a hard worker and a good man.
    Thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time.

  • Poppy was a pleasure to meet and talk to. Always had a smile and a gentle way about him. Years of working in nature became him. We were glad for the times we had a chance to visit with him. He was blessed with the comfort of his family and you should feel comforted in knowing the you gave him that.

  • So very sorry of this great loss to the Family and Friends. We use to see Steve in Florida during the winter. He and Mary would go to the dogs, Jahi games and play cards while I watch there Beautiful Daughter Stephine. R.I.P. Steve.
