Stephen Joseph Krivda

Stephen Joseph Krivda, age 61, of Katy, Texas passed away Friday morning, February 12, 2016 at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital.  He was born June 19, 1954 in Columbus to Thurman J. and Corrine (Borst) Krivda.

Stephen graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1977 with a Bachelor’s degree and in 1986 he graduated from Sam Houston University with a Master’s of Education.  He was a contributing writer for the “The Technology Teacher”.  Stephen was a teacher of Technology and Mathematics for 30 years at The Kinkaid School in Houston, Texas.

Stephen is survived by his father, Thurman (Katherine) Krivda of Mount Vernon; brothers, Timothy (Ann) Krivda of Conroe, TX and Vincent (Coty) Krivda of Pickerington; sister, Karen (Michael) Beyer of Pataskala; his companion and caregiver Kim Harrison; 9 nieces and nephews; and 5 great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, Corrine, Stephen was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Coppenbarger.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday,  April 5, 2016  at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Mount Vernon.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 222 South Riverside Plaza, Suite 1500, Chicago, IL 60606.
