Mount Vernon, Ohio

Mt. Vernon: Stephen was born in Mansfield, Ohio to Truman and Maryann Workman. He was a life long resident of the Lexington and Bellville area.

Surviving loved ones are a daughter, Shanna, (nicknames, Sis, dug, dugger)

(Chris) Perreault of Bellville.  A son, Shane Workman (Bear) of Bellville. Grandchildren, Jacob (Jake) and Madisen (Pepper) Swanger and Stormi, Elizabeth, Payton and Logan all of Central Ohio. great grandchildren, Nova, Abigail, Alaina and Grayson. He took great pride in his family and also loved his nephew, Caleb Workman (daughter Cali) of Bucyrus and Nieces, Cana Workman and Candace (Matt) and baby Crew, Kalb.  Steph also leaves behind his prior wife of 22 years, Johnna, and her husband Kim Huerth. They all remained very close, an extended, loving family.

In Steph’s earlier years he enjoyed competing in rodeos. He had a love of nature and enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a self taught Taxidermist.  There wasn’t a tree, flower or mushroom that Steph couldn’t tell you everything about.  Steph became a master stone cutter and mason.

There wasn’t much he couldn’t do in the world of creating and building amazing things.

He was preceded in death by his Parents and his brother, Bruce Workman, (surviving spouse, Paula).

Steph will be sadly missed by many.

The Bellville Snyder Funeral Homes is assisting the Workman family with private cremation services.
