Sherrel Jack Webb, age 83, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.  Retired Lather for Cleveland Construction.  Veteran U.S. Army.  Member of the American Legion and Carpenter’s Union.  Jack enjoyed boating on the weekends and long bike rides with his brother.  Born February 25, 1935 in Russell County, Virginia to the late Walter Sherman and Grace Levi (Miller) Webb.  Also preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor M. Webb and son-in-law, Jim Van Fossen.  Survived by devoted children, Terri Van Fossen, Lori (Ed) Lambert, Jackie Webb and Davy (Nikki) Webb; brother, Bill Webb; grandchildren, Brandt Lambert, Colton Tucker, Dalton, Harley and Kallie Webb; great-grandson, Gage Webb.  Friends may call 6-8 pm Friday, December 7, 2018 at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 637 N. State Route 61, (at SR 3), Sunbury, Ohio.  Funeral Service 11 am Saturday, at the chapel on the grounds of Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens, 18260 Coshocton Road, Mt. Vernon. Rev. David Allison officiating.  Interment with military honors to follow.  DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home of Sunbury is honored to serve Jack’s family.  Special memories and condolences can be shared with them at

  • So sorry. I know what it’s like. He was a good worker and I remember playing canasta with him and Eleanor. Never saw him angry, always cheerful and happy, a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. He will be missed but left so many wonderful memories. Prayers for your healing.
