Sheena Jo Outland, age 77, of Marion, died Friday, June 11, 2021 at Marion General Hospital.

Sheena was born in Van Wert, Ohio on February 16, 1944 to the late Harry Clayton and Mildred Mae (Fox) Siders.  After graduating from Van Wert High School, Sheena attended the State Beauty Academy.  For many years, Sheena operated her own salon in her home called, ‘Sheena’s Boutique’.

Sheena was a loving and devoted wife to John “Eddie” Outland whom she married December 10, 1964.  Together, Sheena and Eddie enjoyed spending time with their children, taking annual trips to the beach, and their beloved grandson, Dakota who was Sheena and Eddies pride and joy.  They also enjoyed spending time with their friends at the Moose and Eagles and could often be found fishing.   Later in life, Sheena and Eddie enjoyed escaping Ohio and visiting their summer timeshare in Florida.  Eddie preceded Sheena in death on December 18, 2014. In Sheena’s free time, she enjoyed cheering on the New York Yankees

Sheena will be missed by her daughter, Kelly (Chad) Bolinger of Marion, son Todd Outland; grandson, Dakota Howell; siblings, Kenneth Siders and Carolyn Nimtz, sister-in-law, Cheryl Gehres; trusted pug, Bindy and two cats.

In addition to her parents, Sheena was preceded in death her husband, Eddie; and siblings, Emmett Gehres, Dennis Siders, and Stella (David) Stevens.

Visitation will be held at Snyder Funeral Homes, Gunder/Hall Chapel (347 West Center St.) on Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 11 until 1 pm.  A celebration of Sheena’s life will take place at the funeral home at 1 pm with Pastor Jennifer Bass officiating.  Burial will follow in La Rue Cemetery.
