MANSFIELD ~ Sarah Ida Easterday of Mansfield, passed away Wednesday evening in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. She was 83.

Born March 17, 1927 in Grayson, KY, she was the daughter of Bert and Etta (Littleton) Hall, and had lived in Mansfield most of her life.

Sarah was a homemaker who bred and raised small and toy breed dogs: Pekinese, Pomeranians, Peek-a-Poos, Poodles and Yorkies.

As a member of the CB club Pink Ladies Piglet Club, Sarah used the handle “Gidget”.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Anna Lee & Larry Chamberlain of Ashland; a son Mark Gardner of Mansfield and his girlfriend Donna Will; four grandchildren including Laura Boyd and Christie Gilliland both of Kent; lifelong friends Joretta & Darrell Brock of Mansfield and their children Shannon Ramey and Anna Brock; and numerous nieces and nephews in Kentucky.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Glen John Easterday; a daughter Sue Aber; a sister Betty Barber and brothers Jack, Bill and Ken Hall.

Her funeral service will be held Monday, October 11, 2010 at 2 p.m. in the Finefrock Chapel of the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home (Former Finefrock Funeral Home), with Chaplain Tim Storms officiating. Friends may call the hour before the service.

Contributions in her memory to the Richland County Humane Society may be made at the funeral home.
