  • I’m sorry to hear this. She and I were good friends during elementary school at Elmwood Elementary in Mt. Vernon, Ohio , and graduated together in 1963 from Mt. Vernon High School. My sympathy goes out to her family and friends.

  • The girls and I are so saddened by the death of Sally. Always kind and welcoming to everyone. I know that my late husband (her Nephew Jeff) had a special fondness for his Aunt Sally. They spent a lot of time together with your grandparents in Mount Vernon and I know they treasured many memories of those times.
I loved her apple and peach pies and in my book no one could make better! My prayers and condolences to Dave , Jennifer, Scott and their families and to the extended families. What a reunion there was in heaven. May God Bless you all at this most difficult time.
    With Love,
    Nancy Becker

  • We haven’t known Sally long but I always found her to be so kind. She was a stylish, cute grandma/mom. I’m glad I had the privilege of meeting her through our grandson. It’s true. She enjoyed coming to cheer Carter on at games. Bless her and wishing the family wonderful memories.

  • Dave and family, So very sorry to read of Sally’s passing. We were school mates at
Elmwood and friends all through high school. She was pleasant and always so easy

  • DEAR DAVE, JENNIFER, SCOTT AND FAMILIES,
I am so sorry to hear of Sally’s passing. Mom and I were just remembering the times Dave and Sally would ride to Marion to see my mom and dad (Janet Way Black and Paul Black) My first motorcycle ride was with “Cousin Dave on his goldwing with double saddle bags. Such a thrill!
I pray that the memories that will be shared will help you through this time.
    Lots of love

  • I am so sorry for your loss! Sally was a good friend. We rode on the back of those Goldwings many miles and had tons of good times! She and Dave even did gardening for us when Jim was sick. Nothing they wouldn’t do for others. She made the very best apple pie! It was truly a pleasure to know her. She will be missed!

  • SO UNEXPECTED, words CAN’T say enough ! I love her and miss Sally. It’s been a very difficult time and also in addition to my mom’ s passing in Sept 15. 2019.
Life is unpredictable !!! You never know what can happen good or bad , so NEVER take anything for granted- because the next minute can ABRUPTLY BE DIFFERENT in any possible way.
Sally will be truly missed !!! I’ m not good at this stuff.
I love you Scott and Jen and family

  • Dave & Family,
Know my prayers are with you for many months as you journey through this grief. Perhaps Chuck has already given Sally a welcoming hug. What a delight Sally was to know…a continuous smile and fun loving, a special lady.

  • So sorry for your loss, Jennifer and family. Sally and I were co-workers in many of her insurance years and lunch buddies after we retired. 2 of my favorite recipes came from Sally–salsa and chocolate ice cream. I loved my time spent with Sally. She was a great friend. Rest in peace dear, dear friend.

  • We were so sorry to hear of the passing your mom, grandma, great grandma. Such a wonderful friend many years ago. You all are in our prayers. The Lawsons❤

  • I was a neighborhood playmate with Sally and her sisters. My grandparents were friends of your great grandmother,Ruth”s parents . We both had playhouses and loved playing in them. Sally got her love of ice cream from your great grandmother , Ruth. Their homemade ice cream was the best! I last saw Sally in 2017 when I invited Sally, Dave , Marge and Dixie to my cabin near Gambier , Ohio. We had a picnic and had a wonderful time reminiscing. May God give you comfort and peace!
