Sandy K. (Mutschelknaus) Castle, 68, of Galion passed away Friday, September 22, 2017 at OhioHealth Marion General Hospital in Marion.

She was born Letha Mae Jeandervine on January 29, 1949 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the daughter of Ray and Hazel (Menges) Mutschelknaus.  She is survived by her husband of 28 years, William “Bill” Castle whom she married on August 19, 1989.

Sandy was a 1967 graduate of Dover High School and worked as a graphic artist with Renderosity. She enjoyed art and gardening.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by son Kim (Melissa) Kaiser of Bowling Green; daughter Melinda Kaiser Sovine of Wooster; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother Harold Lint; sisters Shirley Jeandervine Starnes of Killbuck, Barb Jeandervine Burris of Millersburg; Karen Sue Mutschelknaus Johnson of Trinity, Texas, Carol Lint Price of Woodlands, Texas, Gloria Lint Moses of Chalmette, Louisiana and Elizabeth Jeandervine Schaffer of Loudonville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild Skyler Sovine and a sister Mary Ellen Jeandervine Petroff.

The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.

  • I knew her from an online site she worked at called RDNA. She was a good friend & colleague . She was always a nice person. She’d help people out & if she couldn’t -she’d try to get them help. We used to talk in Skype alot. There was a big group of us. We were like an extended online family. When I saw the post saying she had passed away-there was a big hole created.Fly high & free with the angels my friend.You are now forever healthy & pain free. May the angels guide Sandy on her new path. May the angels also guide & comfort her family & friends that are grieving for her 🙁

She was on the road to getting better but developed a blood clot between her heart and lungs. She went peacefully and without pain. I am Her Sister Karen

  • Sandy will be missed by so many people. I worked with her at RDNA and knew her prior to that, in the different artistic communities online. She was fiesty, quick to laugh but sometimes, she also had a serious side to her 🙂 . I remember many times talking about Skylar and how much she loved and missed him. She is with him now, happy and young and free.

    She loved her family very much, they were very important to her. My deepest condolences and prayers to everyone.

  • I will always see Sandy in my minds eye dancing around the front yard at home or running to greet people. She was in constant motion. I haven’t seen her in many many years but we chatted online to keep in touch. I will miss our chats she was a wonderful friend and cousin.
