Sandee M. Frontz Leeka

February 17, 1963 ‒ June 13, 2011

Hilliard, formerly of Bellville, Ohio

HILLIARD: Sandee Leeka not only believed in scripture, she lived scripture. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Prov 3: 5&6) Her very purpose in life was to bring glory to God, and serve Him by being His hands and feet while serving others. Her commitment in service to the Lord was truly legendary.

The Lord was faithful to Sandee, calling her to himself from Riverside Methodist Hospital on Monday morning June 13, 2011. She was 48.

Born Sandee Marie Frontz on February 17, 1963 in Mansfield, she was the oldest child and only daughter of Charles & Patricia (Jensen) Frontz. She was graduated valedictorian from Clear Fork High School in 1981, and earned her Associates degree from North Central State College.

Though Sandee held several office jobs, her true calling was that of a Christian wife and mother. She leaves a legacy of Christian faith and love proved true by her fruits. Her kind and generous personality complimented her passions: a touch of loving kindness – just when you needed it most.

Sandee had the ability to interact with and compel others to think better of themselves and others. She strove for excellence and expected that of others (serve as unto the Lord). God used her creativity to pull together projects and balance schedules to keep on top of home, church and community activities.

She was a member of Hilliard Church of Christ where she was active with Women’s Ministries, played keyboards on the worship team, and had been director of the pre-school and children’s programs.

She is survived by her husband Michael D. Leeka; her children Brandon Baker of Seattle, Wash., Kristin Baker, Ryan Leeka and Chandler Leeka all of Hilliard; her parents Charlie & Pat Frontz of Bellville, her brother and sister-in-law Mike & Sherry Frontz of Mansfield; her mother-in-law Beverly Leeka of Plain City, a brother-in-law and his wife Robert & Jessica Leeka of Plain City and nephews and a niece James and Julia Frontz and Jordan Leeka.

The Leeka family will receive friends Wednesday, June 15, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in Hilliard Church of Christ, 4300 Avery Road, Hilliard 43026 (park behind the building). A worship service, giving glory to God for the life of Sandee Leeka will be held in the church building Thursday at 10 a.m. Pastor Danny Vanscoy will officiate. Burial will be in Bellville Cemetery.
