BELLVILLE- Sally Young was a kind and confident woman. Commanding any audience, everyone knew Sally’s political views and opinions on current events. Although battling health issues, that same strong-spirit allowed Sally to live fearlessly, all the while teaching her family life lessons on determination and perseverance. After rallying through health problems for four years, Sally A. Young is now at peace after passing away Wednesday October 26, 2011 in Mansfield MedCentral Hospital. She was 55.

Born December 8, 1955 in Key West, Florida, and was graduated from Lexington high school in 1974. On July 29, 1979 she married Greg Young.

Sally graduated from Mid Ohio School of Practical Nursing in 1977 and was nominated as class president.

A strong supporter of the Democratic Party, Sally enjoyed reading, mostly political books. Not afraid to challenge others, she remained well educated on current events and could confidently express her views.

She enjoyed cooking, especially oriental dishes. “Sally could stir fry just about anything.”

Sally loved her grandchildren so much. She chose to stay at home allowing her more time with her daughter and grandchildren. Investing in her family, Sally often took her grand kids to the local library.

Blessed with a loving heart, Sally would do anything for her family and friends and there will never be anyone else like her.

Sally is survived by her husband Greg Young of Bellville; daughter Abbie Miller (Adam Bays) of Bellville; grandchildren Haylie and Logan Miller and a grandson Ayden on the way; sisters Beverly Lear of Lexington, Janet Bender of Mansfield, and Julie (Paul) Cox of Oregon, Ohio; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Sue and Randy Crider of Bellville; uncle Dr. Stephen Klein of Florida; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother Joan Morrow.

The Young family has chose compassionate cremation services.

Memorial contributions to the Richland County Humane Society may be made through the funeral home. The Bellville Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the Young family.
