S. Jeanene Gailey, 71, of North Robinson, died Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born January 11, 1937 in Harlan, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Albert G. Surber and Sally Pace Surber. She married Glen Gailey, Sr. on December 26, 1956 and he survives.

Jeanene was of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed gardening, flea markets, puzzles, feeding her birds and especially spending time with family.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Glen “Pete” Jr. and Lori Gailey of Lexington;two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Jeff Dawson of Galion and Tammy and Jeff Crabtree of Galion; seven grandchildren, Justin Jen Gailey, Nathan Natalie Gailey, Lyndsee Kevin Spangler, Annie Matt Trammel, Tyler Dawson, Shawn Rachel and Daniel Rachel;two great-grandsons, Abraham Trammel and Kayden Spangler; three brothers, John Surber of Georgia, Albert Surber of Galion and James Surber of Harlan Co., Ky. and one sister and one brother-in-law, Joyce and James Cash of Texas.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Clark Surber and one sister Wanda Lockaby.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Calvary Baptist Church, Crestline with Pastor Paul Mathewson officiating.
