Ryan C. Myers, age 17 of Centerburg died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at Children Hospital of complications from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

He was born on June 27, 1988 in Westerville and was a Junior member of the Centerburg High School Class of 2007. Proud to be the manager of the 7th grade basketball team, he also was a member of the FCCLA and on the yearbook staff. A major football fan of the OSU Buckeyes and Philadelphia Eagles, he collected knives, enjoyed music, and attended the Centerburg United Methodist Church. His dad was his best friend, whom enjoyed eating out with and watching movies. Ryan was a helper at the PizzaBurg in Centerburg and was most proud of his great-grandfathers watch and pets Rocky and Tyson.

Survived by his Mother and Step-father: Rebecca A. and Jim Tennant, Father: Bill Myers, Grandparents: Kenny and Virginia “Ginny” Kasson, Oma Bolzenius “Grandma B.” of Centerburg, Step-Brother: Michael Tennant, Step-Sister: Brandy (Iyad) Tennant, Aunts and Uncles: Kelly Gibson (Desmond Douglas), Dena Troupe, Patty Kessler, Joe (Chris) Myers, Lori Myers Draper, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, his favorite person: Jeremy Hubbard, numerous special friends including: Zach Beals, Jennifer Wallace, and neighbor: Anita Novo whom he enjoyed spending time with.

Preceded in death by Grandparents: Charles “Sam” Myers, Robert and Lavern Tennant, and special Great-grandparents Fred and Mamie Griffith.

Ryan was the joy and inspiration to many people and always remember; that there are no wheelchairs in heaven.

His family will greet friends Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the Centerburg High School Gymnasium, 3782 Columbus Rd., where funeral services will be held Saturday 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Gary Pollock officiating, burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Sunbury.
