Ruthann Schrolucke, 69, of Westerville died Friday, Jan.16, 2009 at Manor Care Nursing Center, in Westerville.
Born Dec. 21, 1939 in Galion, she was born the eighth child of the late George W. Henkel and Mina A. Morton Henkel. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Tom E. Schrolucke whom she married on June 3, 1962.
She was a graduate of Galion High School in 1957 and a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Galion, where she sang in the choir for many years before transferring her membership to North Community Lutheran Church in Columbus. She was also a member of Cum Christo 109. She previously worked at the former Perfection-Cobey, United Church Directories, The Galion Inquirer and Rosewood Manor all of Galion. After moving to Columbus she worked at Swan Cleaners and retired this past fall from Target of Polaris.
She is survived by one daughter, Nancilee K. Gray; two sons, Thomas P. Schrolucke of Delaware and Brian E. Schrolucke and friend Jim Taylor of Columbus; four grandchildren, Krista, Zach, Patrick and Kalen; three sisters, Alice Guinther of New Winchester, Eileen Miller of Marion, Mary Priest of Westerville, one brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Janet Henkel of Galion; She is also survived by nieces and nephews who loved her and nicknamed her “Aunt Nan” and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Thelma, Gracie and Linda and two brothers, Genie and Kenneth.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Galion with Rev. Gary Nuss officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
A Memorial Service will also be held 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 26, 2009 at North Community Lutheran Church, 114 Morse Rd., Columbus, Ohio
