Ruth R. Irwin, age 96, of Fredericktown passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on August 27, 1918 in New Jersey to the late Frank and Lillian (Hilbers) Reamer. Ruth was a member of the Fredericktown First Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Courtney (John) Boynton of Bonita Springs, FL, Dulcy (William) Michel of Charlotte, NC, Kathryn (John) Conway of Fredericktown, OH; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, of over 70 years, Gordon C. Irwin and her sister Kathryn Hendrickson.

The family will observe a private memorial service at a later date.

  • Heaven has gained a great teacher!!! You can bet she will teach them how to spell. She taught all 4 of us in our family, took us under her wing when my sister was ill. She used to travel the steps of the Marengo School House with such pride. Great memories !!
