Ruth A. (Breckler) Yarman, 79, of Amity, Ohio passed away Sunday April 21, 2002 at the Country Club Assisted Living Center, after a long battle with cancer. She was born on March 6, 1923 in Columbus, Ohio, to Stephen Joseph and Jessie (Price) Breckler. She moved to Knox County with her family when she was six years old and lived most of her life in the Knox County area. She married Herbert Wayne Yarman on April 10, 1942 following her graduation from Amity High School in 1941.

Mrs. Yarman was active in the Amity United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School Classes and served as a member of the Women’s Society for Christian Service.

She is survived by her five children, Paul Wayne of Bellville, John Stephen (Patricia) of Mount Vernon, Ronald Eugene (Rita) of Howard, Eva Ruth Ann Summers (Scott) of Sparta and Miles Arthur of Gahanna, Ohio. There are 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and a sister in law Emagene D’ Agostina.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Yarman was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years H. Wayne Yarman, two brothers, John F. Breckler and Charles J. Breckler. Mrs. Yarman was also preceded in death by one grandson Troy Yarman and a daughter in law Barbara Yarman.

Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 AM at the Amity United Methodist Church in Amity, Ohio with the Rev. Phil Mc Murrin and Rev. William Pursel officiating. Burial will be in Amity Cemetery.
